Manager, Privacy and Compliance

Work directly with various department heads to support the goals of the organization from a privacy and compliance perspective. Lead in the development of compliance management strategies and customer relationships. Work with all levels of the Company to establish, document, implement, support and audit business and IT policies, standards and controls to ensure the organization is able to attain its goals.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Work with subject matter experts and business owners to write/update SOPs, Work Instructions and Control Documents
  • Ensure current library of documentation evolves as business lines and methodologies change.
  • Partner across the technology and business teams to maximize the quality, integration and effectiveness of risk management coverage.
  • Ensure that all pertinent risk and control requirements and applicable policies are understood
  • Create and maintain a global regulatory library for use by team
  • Ensure organization is in compliance with global privacy requirements
  • Maintain regulatory registrations

  • Perform and lead client contract reviews
  • Meet with clients/sponsors to negotiate contract language
  • Assist Business Development team with educating clients about our business
  • Facilitate onsite reviews from clients
  • Assist with vendor contract reviews
  • Perform vendor onsite audits and reviews
  • Lead closing meetings to discuss findings
  • Ensure incidents are property documents
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented and functioning as designed

  • Actively support all departments in their management of operational risk through the course of risk assessment, monitoring, control identification, mitigation and measurement.
  • Assist in the identification and assessment of operational risk throughout the Company with an eye toward recognizing opportunities to reduce risk.
  • Ensure timely and proper attention is paid to operational risk issues in order to minimize potential losses.

  • Assist in being the liaison for pending lawsuits.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations domestically and globally.
  • Understand the legal landscape specific to direct marketing.

Job Scope

Qualifications

  • MBA, MSJ, JD etc a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience as a compliance professional with a proven track record in both business and IT policies and standards implementation, support, audits, and projects.

  • Solid knowledge of the Risk Regulatory Landscape.
  • Knowledge reviewing/audit contracts.
  • Knowledge working with independent and third party auditors.
  • Knowledge in driving process improvement.
  • Willingness to take personal responsibility and accountability.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • The ability to create and define policies and procedures that substantially represent regulatory requirements.

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Some travel may be needed; 15%
